Entre Telarañas!...

Mi mama siempre me dice que tengo la tendencia a inspirarme en cosas absurdas y temas horribles, que debería tomar las cosas bellas de la naturaleza y crear mis colecciones. Pero soy fiel creyente que de las cosas que otros ven feas, se puede encontrar su belleza única y muchas veces tomo inspiración de experiencias locas y tontas que vivo a diario. Una de las colecciones más traumáticas fue “Trapped”, inspirado en arañas y telarañas  ; y digo traumática porque entre los mil diseños que tuve que hacer, (que por cierto!), ninguno le gusto a mi profesora,  jamás pensé tener pesadillas con arañas, sentirme perseguida por uñas peluda y llegar a asustarme y gritar cuando mi propio cabello me rosaba el cuello, (not funny!!!)… and is a true fact…. Any way!!!! , al final hice mi entrega de mis 50 pieces, cosí como loca y tuve buenos reviews!!...… ecco li!... Solo puse los mejores ....

.... creo que todavía tengo secuelas!!!...

Who the Hell is Geniesse Pierre?

_”Well it’s me. Born and raised in Panama city Panama , November 17 1982. I have never cut nor sewn nothing for my barbies, instead I have always collected all kind of materials and magazines to create and imaginary fashion show, I always knew that I liked fashion ‘cuz my dad thought me to saw, but it wasn’t till I knew that one of my uncles was I fashion designer that it all came to me... One of my uncles was the senior technical designer for Tommy Hilfiger and later for Elie Tahari. Travelling to New York and watching up close his work filled me with passion for this job, -cheesy right!, but is true… Anyway!!... don’t wanna be boring, so am gonna cut to the chase. I studied Fashion Designing at Ganexa for 5 years, I also studied journalism, and then I decided to take the challenge and study in Italy accessories designing. I studied in Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano, Fashion and Textile design and a year after I got my Masters in Accessories and Leather goods from Domus Academy, we had the great opportunity to be teached by important people such as Alessandro dell’ Aqua and Roberto Cavalli. 2008 was a great year for me I was selected with other students for an article in Marie Claire’s (Italy) September issue for a very informal interview and to show our work… In 2009 for a short period I worked for European Fashion , for their Givenchy label…. now I live my life between Italy and Panama, working on my own label “Butterfly Villa” and “I was Spinto”.  So this is me, but I know my work will talk more....
